The Desert Sun was a Design/Build Architectural Project by David Christian Architects for the Newspaper Headquarters of the local arm of Gannett News in Palm Springs, CA. The landscape includes a duck pond that surrounds the structure. Earth Tones in the “Desert Palette” were used to blend into the oasis-like landscape. Ted Powell was hired by David as an independent contractor, “hired gun” architect to bring the vision to reality.
